Hoarding Advertising Cost in Lucknow (2026): Real Rates, Locations, and What Drives the Price
The short answer: a hoarding in Lucknow costs anywhere from ₹25,000 to ₹3,00,000 per month. The long answer is that the same 20×10 ft board can cost five times more at one crossing than another two kilometres away, and most agencies won’t tell you why until you’re already on a call.
We will. We’re Alpha Commercial, we’ve been running outdoor campaigns across Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh for over 10 years, and we print everything in-house. Here’s what hoarding advertising actually costs in this city in 2026, and where your money goes.
Quick reference: hoarding rates in Lucknow by area
Area | Typical monthly rate | Why |
Hazratganj / Vidhan Sabha Marg | ₹90,000 – ₹3,00,000 | Highest footfall + government corridor. Premium sites, limited supply. |
Gomti Nagar (Vibhuti Khand, Patrakarpuram) | ₹40,000 – ₹2,00,000 | Corporate offices, malls, affluent residential. Strong evening traffic. |
Alambagh / Kanpur Road | ₹40,000 – ₹1,50,000 | Transit-heavy. Bus terminal plus airport-bound traffic. |
Indira Nagar / Munshi Pulia | ₹40,000 – ₹1,00,000 | Dense residential, good for retail and education brands. |
Aliganj / Sitapur Road | ₹35,000 – ₹90,000 | Growing residential belt, lower competition for sites. |

These are indicative 2026 ranges for standard static hoardings. Your exact quote depends on the specific site, size, lighting and duration — more on each below. For current availability at any of these locations, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll send photos and rates the same day.
The six things that decide what you pay
- Location. This is 60–70% of the price. A site at a signal-controlled crossing where traffic idles for 90 seconds is worth several times a free-flowing stretch, because dwell time is what makes people actually read your ad. Lucknow’s slow-moving traffic is, honestly, an advertiser’s friend.
- Size. Hoardings in Lucknow commonly run from 20×10 ft up to 40×20 ft. Bigger boards cost more in rent and in printing, but the rate per square foot usually drops as size goes up.
- Lighting. A non-lit board goes dark at 7pm. Front-lit adds roughly 15–25% to the rent; backlit adds 25–40% but makes colours glow and owns the night-time commute. If your audience travels after sunset – restaurants, cinemas, coaching centres – lighting pays for itself.
- Duration. Monthly rates fall for 3, 6 and 12-month commitments. A typical structure: 5–8% off for a quarter, 10–15% off for six months, 15–20% off for a year. Short one-month bursts work for launches and events; brand-building needs at least a quarter.
- Season. Festive season (September–November) and the wedding months squeeze inventory, and rates firm up. July–August and January–February are quieter, and there’s room to negotiate. If your campaign is flexible on timing, that flexibility is worth real money.
- Printing and mounting. The flex or vinyl itself, printed and installed, typically runs ₹15–50 per square foot in the market. Because we run our own solvent printing unit (1 lakh sq ft per day capacity) and eco solvent unit for vinyl, we print at ₹10 per sq ft black-back 280 GSM with nefa and joint pasted properly – used on hoardings and unipoles – and can turn a creative around in 24–48 hours – no third-party printer in the middle, no waiting a week for a creative change.
What about other outdoor formats?
Hoardings aren’t the only option, and sometimes they’re not the right one.
Unipoles – a single steel column with a large display on top, usually on highways and wide roads. Comparable in cost to a similar-sized hoarding, sometimes 10–20% more for premium highway positions. Good when you want unmissable scale.

Highway wallwraps – one of the cheapest ways to reach travelling audiences across North India. Large painted or printed walls facing the highway, priced far below city hoardings on a per-view basis. We run wallwrap campaigns across UP and North India; rates start around ₹6,000 per site for a 3-month campaign.
LED screens (DOOH) – priced per 10-second slot rather than per month. You share the screen with other advertisers, which cuts your cost but also your share of attention. Works well layered on top of a static campaign, less well as your only presence.
Mobile LED vans – ₹8,000 per day including promoter support. The van goes where your audience is: markets, events, specific neighbourhoods. Best for launches, schemes and short promotions.
A realistic budget example
Say you’re a Lucknow retail brand planning a 3-month campaign:
- One Front Lit hoarding in Gomti Nagar: ₹1,20,000 × 3 months = ₹3,60,000
- One hoarding on Kanpur Road: ₹70,000 × 3 months = ₹2,10,000
- Printing and mounting for both, one creative change included: ₹32,000
- Total: roughly ₹6,00,000 for 3 months of city-wide visibility
That’s the honest number. Anyone quoting dramatically less is either showing you a poor site or leaving out printing, mounting and municipal charges – always ask what the quote includes.
Why book through us instead of a national marketplace
You’ve probably seen aggregator sites listing Lucknow hoardings with rates. They’re useful for research. But they’re booking platforms, not local operators: nobody from those companies has stood at the crossing and watched which direction the traffic actually reads the board from.
We have. We’re based in Lucknow, we know which sites flood in the monsoon, which ones get blocked by tree cover in summer, and which “premium” locations look great on paper but face the wrong carriageway. We also print in-house, so your creative goes up in days, not weeks – and when you want to change it mid-campaign, that’s a phone call, not a project.
500+ clients including TVS, HDFC and Yamaha have run campaigns with us, across our full range of advertising services in Lucknow. GST-registered, transparent quotes, pan-India execution.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum budget for hoarding advertising in Lucknow?
Around ₹25,000–30,000 per month for a decent site in an outer area, plus printing. Below that, look at wallwraps or shared LED slots instead.
Is there a minimum booking period?
Most sites book monthly. Some premium locations require a 3-month minimum. We’ll tell you site by site.
Does the price include printing and installation?
Our quotes itemise everything: site rent, printing, mounting and any municipal charges. Ask any agency to do the same before you compare numbers.
Which is better – one premium hoarding or three regular ones?
Depends on the goal. One landmark site builds prestige; three spread sites build frequency. For most local businesses, frequency wins. We’ll map it against where your customers actually live and travel.
How quickly can a campaign go live?
If the site is vacant: creative approval today, printed within 24–48 hours in our own unit, mounted within 2–3 days.
Do you have sites outside Lucknow?
Yes – Kanpur, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Jhansi, Bareilly, and highway wallwraps across North India. Ask for our current availability list.
